Collection: Manuka Honey Drinks

Four Mānuka honey drinks, four different moments

Every can in the Melora range starts from the same place, authentic New Zealand Mānuka honey and crisp apple, then takes a different direction. Choose by the mood you are in rather than by the flavour alone.

What goes into every can

  • Authentic New Zealand Mānuka honey, independently tested and certified against the UMF standard, which measures natural MGO, DHA and leptosperin.

  • Over a teaspoon of Mānuka honey in every can, rising to over two teaspoons in the Raspberry, Ginger and Apple.

  • Non-GMO approved honey sourced directly from New Zealand beekeepers.

  • Natural sugars only. The sweetness comes from the Mānuka honey and the apple, not from added sugar.

  • No artificial colours and no preservatives.

  • Lightly sparkling, in a 250ml can. Made in New Zealand and shipped to the UK.

What UMF 7+ and MGO 145+ mean

Both numbers on the can describe the same honey. MGO stands for methylglyoxal, the compound that distinguishes Mānuka honey from ordinary honey, and the number states how much is present in milligrams per kilogram. MGO 145+ therefore means at least 145mg of methylglyoxal per kilogram of honey. UMF is the accompanying certification mark, and the UMF grading system checks three natural markers rather than one: MGO, DHA and leptosperin. Melora uses honey at this grade in the drinks range because it carries a clear Mānuka character without overpowering the fruit and botanicals in the can.

For a fuller explanation of how the grades compare, see the Melora guide to MGO in Mānuka honey.

How to drink them

Chill, shake, enjoy. Melora Mānuka honey drinks are made for the moments when water feels dull and an ordinary soft drink feels too sweet.

  • The afternoon lift. Cinnamon and Apple, or Raspberry and Ginger, straight from the fridge.

  • An adult alcohol alternative. Serve Kaitaia Fire over ice in a tall glass with a wedge of lime. It has enough backbone to hold its own in a round.

  • After training. Lemon, Black Pepper and Apple Cider Vinegar, chilled, as a change from plain water.

  • Alongside food. The warmth in Kaitaia Fire works well with spiced dishes and sharp cheeses.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Best chilled before serving. As with all honey products, these drinks are not suitable for infants under 12 months.

Why Choose Melora for Mānuka Honey Drinks

Melora built its reputation on genuine New Zealand Mānuka honey, and the drinks range is held to the same standard as the jars. The honey in every can is the same certified Mānuka that goes into the Melora food and wellness ranges, sourced directly from New Zealand beekeepers and independently tested. Melora goes above New Zealand government guidelines to also comply with the UMF standards, measuring for natural MGO, leptosperin and DHA, so the Mānuka in your can is exactly what the label says it is.
