A café-style cozy drink made with pantry staples.
Skip the coffee shop line and make this warming Spiced Chai Latte at home. We use Melora Manuka Honey Squeeze Ginger to sweeten the tea, which adds a delicious, zesty kick that complements the cinnamon and cardamom beautifully. It is creamy, aromatic, and comforting.
Prep time: 5 mins | Serves: 2
Ingredients
-
2 black tea bags (Assam or English Breakfast)
-
1 cup boiled water
-
1 ½ cups almond milk (or milk of choice)
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
½ tsp ground ginger
-
⅛ tsp ground cloves
-
⅛ tsp ground cardamom
-
3 tbsp Melora Manuka Honey Squeeze Ginger (adjust to taste)
Instructions
-
Steep the Tea: Place the tea bags in a heat-safe mug and pour the boiled water over them. Let steep for 3 to 5 minutes to create a strong base.
-
Heat Milk & Spices: While the tea steeps, pour the almond milk into a saucepan. Add the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and cardamom. Whisk often over high heat. Once the milk begins to bubble at the edges, turn off the heat.
-
Combine: Remove the tea bags and pour the brewed tea into the saucepan with the spiced milk. Whisk in the Melora Manuka Honey Squeeze Ginger until combined. Taste and add more honey if you prefer it sweeter.
-
Strain: Pour the latte through a fine-mesh strainer into two mugs to catch the excess spices. Serve immediately!
